Debby GoldsberryDebby Goldsberry co-founded Cannabis Action Network in 1989 after several years on "Hemp Tour" with activists Ben Masel and Jack Herer. The organization instilled a more grassroots, female-oriented spirit into the then heavily male-dominated marijuana legalization movement. CAN started in Lexington, Kentucky but soon moved to Berkeley, California. Three years after voters passed Proposition 215 in 1996, Goldsberry and CAN opened Berkeley Patients Group, one of the Bay Area's first medical cannabis dispensaries.

Goldsberry left BPG in 2010. Her latest dispensary, United Cannabis Collective, has yet to open.

"It's an honor to win the vote for Top Celebstoner," says Goldsberry. "Let's roll out the green carpet, put on hemp evening wear and celebrate! Cannabis is an amazing plant with a beautiful appearance. It's fun, creative and exciting. And it promotes a strong message of peace, kindness and compassion. I've been honored to be a spokesperson for this plant and this message for the last 20 years. Hemp can save the planet."

Recognized for her many years of activism, she received the 2011 Freedom Fighter of the Year award at the 24th Annual Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam.

Born on Mar. 15, 1967 and raised in Illinois, Goldsberry attended the Univeristy of Illinois at Urbana. She resides in Oakland with her daughter Nai'a.

I am proud to see a true stoner. I have never known of you much, but I like what you say. It was interesting to see the top stoners. Not so happy about seeing someone like Megan Fox though, doesn't quite fit the stoner feel.
