It was Christmas in July as Emmy nominations were announced, with CelebStoner faves Weeds, Entourage and Real Time with Bill Maher racking up a dozen noms.

• Real Time with Bill Maher (2) - including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series

• Entourage (7) - including Outstanding Comedy Series and Supporting Actors in a Comedy Series (Jeremy Piven and Kevin Dillon)

• The Daily Show (6) - including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series

• The Colbert Report (4) - including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series

• Saturday Night Live (3) - including Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics (for "Dick in a Box")

• Late Night with Conan O'Brien (3) - including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series

• Jimmy Kimmel Live (1) - Outstanding Technical Direction, Camera Work and Video for a Series

• When the Levees Broke (5) - including Exceptional Merit in Non-Fiction Filmmaking

• The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan (1) - Outstanding Reality Program

• Bullshit! (2) - including Outstanding Reality Program

The oddest nominations? Two to Prince for his Super Bowl XLI Halftime Show (Outstanding Special Class Program). Apparently, brazenly playing your guitar as a phallus is OK with the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, who will announce the Emmy winners on September 16.
