Brad Daddy X PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 15 January 2008 20:32

Brad Daddy X (nee Brad Xavier) founded the Kottonmouth Kings in 1994 after he met fellow rappers D-Loc and Johnny Richter. They all lived in Placentia, California.

Daddy XPrior to the KMKs, Brad was member of Humble Gods, a punk band that featured Pennywise's Jason Thirsk. A love for hip-hop led Brad to combine angry rock and laid-back rap in his next band. Saint Dog, Bobby B, Pakelika and Lou Dog rounded out the original group, whose first album, Royal Highness (1998), established the Kottonmouth Kings as the new stoners on the block. Including EPs and live discs, they  have a total of 19 albums - from High Society (2000) to Joint Venture (2004) to Long Live the Kings (2010) - on Suburban Noize Records.

Daddy X delivers the group's pro-pot message in song and brief speeches during their shows. "Let me put it to you this way," he says. "When you go to Amsterdam, weed is legal and it's not an issue. Their society functions normally. People are out riding their bikes, living healthy - just a thriving society, and it's just not that big of a deal. Whether it's legal or illegal in America, don't kid yourself and think that millions of people [don't] enjoy smoking marijuana. That's just a fact. How could any man be arrogant enough to outlaw a plant? To question the wisdom of the creator?"

Daddy X sent us the following message:

"God's got ganja growing, smells so good to me. Ganja grows cuz jah jah knows. Plant yourself a tree! Life is a gift. Thanks to all the peaceful loving people for spreading the good word and growing the good herb. Roll one up pass it around! Long live the Kings!!"

Daddy X, is like a hero to me, and I didnt think they existed. well when you grow up and shits corupt, like the police, you dont have a hero to belive in. Every thing Ive heard from him and the rest of the kings ive agreed with. Fuck I'll rep my crown till the day I die. Every thing they sing about is ment to show people to get up and get the plant legalized, to give your kids the chance to be free and live the way they wish to. I give mad props to The Kottonmouth Kings, and anyone else that can see the altimate truth and smokes the good herb.

Daddy X is an inspiration to all stoners. I work hard and function well in society. I am an honest and decent guy and people who know me will say that I am trustworthy and loyal and would give the shirt off of my back to anyone....but I smoke weed every single day. if we all did that, there would be no more wars. Daddy X and the Kottonmouth kings rule
