Shia LaBeouf Hospitalized After Crash PDF Print E-mail

Top CelebStoner Shia LaBeouf was charged with DUI after flipping his pickup in Hollywood on July 27, 2008. While making a left turn at LaBrea and Fountain, another car slammed into LaBeouf's green Ford F150 truck at 2:45 am. The actor was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He required surgery on his left hand and suffered head and knee injuries as well.

Prior to the accident, LaBeouf went to see the Lemon Son band at the Troubadour, where "he kept doing shots of whiskey" and "was dancing around and acting really crazy," according to a source.

LaBeouf's passenger was actress Isabel Lucas. She had minor brusies and was released from Cedars-Sinai. The other driver was also hurt but not hospitalized.

LaBeouf has starred in Indiana Jones ansd and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and theĀ  Transformers movies.

LaBeouf has had a series of legal scrapes over the last few years. In November, he was charged with criminal trespassing at a Walgreen's in Chicago. The charge was dismissed. In February, LaBeouf was cited for smoking on a sidewalk in Burbank. When he failed to appear in court a month later, an arrest warrant was issued. In April, he paid a $500 fine.

I have something to say about this so-called DUI bull. First off, most accidents in which a DUI is involved or blamed for the accident happening it's 99% of the time alcohol that was the main contributing factor in causing the accident. Any traces of THC is usually from long before the accident occured, like perhaps 24 or more hours. Also I figure about 80% of the driving population here in the U.S. are driving under the influence. What I mean is that everyone that has to take Loratabs, Loracets, morphine, anything that has a narcotic base in it is considered technically as driving under the influence. It's what's known as a Catch 22 law. They can nail you for DUI if you're tested and show positive for any meds with narcotics in them. You would be amazed at the numbers of people that do not realize this...
