Craig Robinson, who plays Matheson in Pineapple Express and Darryl on The Office, was arrested on June 29 in Culver City, California and charged with two counts of felony drug possession (Ecstasy and meth) and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Craig Robinson mug shot Amazingly, the media knew nothing about this as Pineapple Express geared up for its August 6 release.

Last Friday, the L.A. District Attorney confirmed the charges and yesterday Robinson pled guilty to the X charge while the other two were dropped.

The arrest took place after Robinson's car was pulled over by police, who searched the vehicle and found paraphernalia. It's unclear if the drug charges were the result of a drug test. Robinson was released on $10,000 bail.

In exchange for the dropped charges, Robinson agreed to enter a drug diversion program. Upon completion after 18 months, the felony conviction will be dismissed as well.

Robinson portrays a drug thug with a sense of humor in Pineapple Express.
