An anonymous snitch tipped off Vero Beach, Florida police that comedian Ron White was carrying drugs on his private plane. When it landed on Sept. 10, 2008 at 5 pm, they apprehended White and found him in carrying less than a gram of pot and a pipe. For his part, White - who performed on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall - says he uses marijuana for medical purposes. The 51-year old comic lives in California, where medipot is legal. White claims he was snitched out by his former pilot, who didn't like his high-flying antics. After White was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and released on $1,000 bail from Indian River County Jail, he raced over to nearby Ft. Pierce, where 1,200 fans at Sunrise Theater were awaiting his stand-up show, which started an an hour late. UPDATE: On Jan. 7, 2009 White pled guilty to both charges. He was sentenced to six months' probation, $1,460 fines and fees and 200 hours community service (he has the option to pay an additional $2,000 instead). The Texas native, known to fans as "Tater Salad," regularly spins yarns about his legal problems and personal bouts with intoxication. White's 2003 album, Drunk in Public, sold more than 500,000 copies. Now he has another story to tell. Below: Ron White's arrest report
