Doors co-founder and keyboardist Ray Manzarek and Prop 215 pioneer Dennis Peron electrified the NORML Conference in Berkeley, which peaked on Oct. 18. Ray Manzaerek explained how marijuana contributed to the Doors creation and Peron predicted legalization will one day take the country by surprise.

During the Pot Culure panel, hosted by CelebStoner's Steve Bloom and Entertainment Weekly's Shirley Halperin, Manzarek recalled that he, Jim Morrison ("He was a stoner"), Robbie Krieger and John Densmore smoked a joint and wrote their first song together, "Moonlight Drive," which appeared on their second album.

Manzarek also said that director Oliver Stone was constantly high on coke and alcohol duirng the production of The Doors movie. "It was a interesting movie, it just wan't about my life." he mused.

Peron forecasted in the not too distant future there will be a headline a the bottom of the front page reading, Marijuana Rescheduled. "Just like that," he said.
