After blowing off his Late Night with Conan O'Brien appearance on Nov. 5, 2008, Katt Williams was arrested the next day for gun possession. He spent 15 hours in jail before rushing over to Carnegie Hall for his stand-up gig, which started an hour late. "I just got out of jail 35 minutes ago," he told the crowd.

NYPD found three guns in Williams' vehicles - a Mercedes bus and a red Cadillac Escalade - parked at Broadway and 28 St. He was taken to the Tombs at 150 Centre St. Williams had to pay a $250,000 bond in order to make the Carnegie Hall show.

On July 23, 2009 the gun charge was dismissed. Prosecutors determined the weapons were legally registered by Williams' bodyguards,

In 2006, Williams was charged with carrying a concealed weapon in his luggae at LAX, pled no contest and was sentenced to three years' probation.
