New Jersey police arrested Jets' defensive lineman Shaun Ellis on Nov. 29, 2008.  He was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, along with speeding, driving without insurance and faiilure to produce a registration card.

The 285-pound end reportedly was "uncooperative" when Hanover Township police pulled his vehicle over after he sped past the police at 8:37 am. They found pot in Ellis' car during a search.

On Aug 17, 2009,  the NFL suspended Ellis for one game and fined him $100,000. "It's a situation that happened last year and for it to carry over to this year it's kind of tough," the lineman stated. "I wish I would have been able to have dealt with it last year and go into this year fresh. "
