The latest salvo from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) poses this leading question, "What has weed doen for you?" The answers, of course, are a laundry list of irresponsible and anti-socal behavior, such as stealing, bad grades and one kid who lies on a couch and says, "I let people draw on me!" Will these idiotic ads continue under Obama? This spot is shot as proud and dramatic, with uplifting, anthemic music underneath. We open on a kid in his little sister’s room. COUCH KID: I stole from my little sister! Cut to a girl holding up a report card. D+ GIRL: I got straight D’s! Cut to a guy on his bed. CELL PHONE GUY: I left me ex-girlfriend 27 messages last night! Cut to a girl with a woman who has been crying. GIRL: I made my mother cry! Cut to a kid who is being drawn on. DRAWN ON KID: I let people draw on me! Open on a guy sitting in his car in the drive way. KID: I ditched my friends and let them find their own way home. Cut back to shots of them looking at the camera and nodding with pride. How can these people who create these commercials be so ignorant? Don't knock it till you try it! I don't smoke cuz personally it makes me feel like I peed my pants, but that's just the way it affects me. I think that by not making it legal, at least it keeps it affordable! If it were legal, they could charge up the arse for it! But that commercial just makes the people who made it look ridiculous!
My roomate is majoring in Nuclear Engineering and is making pretty solid grades, although I don't know how he does it. He is on his last month of probation for being arrested for posession (he actually got busted on 420, suck right?). He had to work a 21 hour-a-week job, do 200 something hours of community service, and pay a 2000 dollar fine over the course of several months, and see his p.o every month; after all that, me and him STILL smoked up every day. He's the hardest working person I know, and if he wasn't on probation, he would smoke weed everysingle day
is one of the side effects to be fkn weird??
last time my mates left the room and i decided to tke all my clothes off and see if i could put em back on again b4 they came back...then i i think im doing stuff..but im not...but i think i am ?? haha
Some of us should take the initiative and take to Youtube some home-grown vids of what all good the herb has done for us.
Drunk Dialing?
Drunk Driving?
Getting drawn on because you passed out DRUNK?
These are not symptoms of pot addiction, I smoke and wouldn't be offended if they did offer the "bad" side of weed (which is fairly mild, coming from someone with an alcoholic brother) but these aren't even symptoms of pot addiction, they are symptoms of ALCOHOLISM!
Also, I like the kid who says "I let people draw on me." They do realize that's a daily activity in colleges, due to overconsumption of alcohol. Which is, by the way, legal.
I hope some doubters watch 'In Pot We Trust.' Maybe some of these completely clueless anti-marijuana organizations can then understand "what weed has done for me."
weed lady: I found a non- addictive alternative to my usual beer & a cigarette!
[cut to a pair of smiling cops holding a crying kid in handcuffs]
cop: we wasted 2 hours busting a 14 year old's pot party... while several convenience stores were robbed at gunpoint just down the street!
[cut to a diverse group of people with their arms around each other, all smiling]
group (together): we found a way to bond, despite our differences!
[cut to smiling drug dealer]
drug dealer: I made $10,000, that could have been generated as tax revenue!
[cut to white screen with "what has weed done for you"]
Complete garbage and utter lie...
ABOVE THE BULLS**T is more like it!
"Open on a guy sitting in his car in the drive way.
KID: I ditched my friends and let them find their own way home."
