When I came out West I started on a quest for the best Trainwreck cutting I could find. I was not impressed with the Arcata Trainwreck cutting; it was too tall, slow and bi-sexual for my taste.
I met a young guy who gave me cuts of Purple Urkle and Arcata Trainwreck, and I grew both of them out. We still grow and love the Urkle cutting and used it to create our cross called Querkle, but the Trainwreck was a different story. The final bud was very potent - there is no doubt of that but, from a grower's standpoint, the plant was very tall and very picky, producing male stamens (hermaphrodites) as early as week 6 of budding. It also had a woody, acrid taste that I couldn’t get past. This taste I learned is what Trainwreck is known for, but as I tasted other samples I learned there are at least a few different cuttings of the plant. I detail this particular cutting on page 88 of Dank, but after growing it to harvest several times I decided not to breed with it and to stop growing it.
I had written off this legendary strain until I came across an amazing plant discovered by "Smokescreen." Found inside a bag, among the few seeds were one female which exhibited all the traits of the famous Wreck without producing a single male stamen even late into budding. The complex coloring is a thing of beauty and the potency of this mother is epic. Just a few bowls is an adventure in respiratory failure and flat-lining your brain waves.
We decided to combine this incredible female with the genetics of Jack the Ripper. The resulting hybrid came out better than we could ever have imagined and I am happy to be able to show CelebStoner fans some of the very first public pictures to be seen.
Named Chernobyl, it has a smell reminiscent of cheap lime popsicles. The high is a mind-numbing combination or Trainwreck's potency and Jack the Ripper's analgesic medicating effect. This weed kills the pain as well as any random thoughts you may have had before taking a few puffs.
Grown from seed in my very own "Super Soil," the plant produced almost four ounces of purple/green bud that looked to be coated in diamond dust. The buds are very hard and dense, and even a small bud is heavy.
Chernobyl (Trainwreck x Trinity x Jack the Ripper) will appear in the upcoming Big Book of Buds 4 and should be making an appearance at dispensaries over the next few weeks.

Also in "Dank" you mention you used to grow in cornfields in the Midwest on the "Cuddlefish" page. The Trinity cut I have had over 5y ears now looks very similar to the Cuddlefish. More info on Trinity please! People here in the Midwest used to grow the Trin in cornfields too! The Trinity has been around town for well over a decade now but no one seems to know any history about her.
I've got some interesting news from out East. I'm out West now also. I hope all is goin' great for you!! peace ! :)
The bagseed is not really that but some strays from a grower that has both TW and a Trinity cutting and the assumption is being made that either the TW hit up the Trinity or visa versa we really don't know and the goal was to make sure people that wanted to know understood it was a high possibility this cutting is a combo of the two somehow. based on my experiance I tend to agree based on taste and structure of the buds.
