From Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to Michael Douglas, Californians are questioning cannabis laws that keep the marijuana economy underground.

Schwarzenegger:
"I think it's time for a debate. I think all of those ideas of creating extra revenues, I'm always for an open debate on it. And I think we ought to study very carefully what other countries are doing that have legalized marijuana and other drugs, what effect did it have on those countries?"

Douglas:

"It's an interesting thing that's being raised again. I'm questioning it. We're trying to get a lot of money for health and education. I look back at Prohibition. When we didn't allow alcohol, what did we have? We had gangs. We had big gangs. It's something that needs to be discussed a little more. It's an economic issue and a violence issue."

Let us hope it's not a call to talk it to death.

Most of my peers believe we must get to letting the people vote on it as soon as possible.

Our "elected" representatives currently receive no reelection donations from Cannabis businesses and as such own nothing to Cannabis community.

I say lets get "Prop 215" on them as soon as possible. Anything less is useless IMO.

I do indulge in the sweet leaf as much as possible, yet it is not for all people, as it is with drinking, some can handle it and know thier limits as some don't know when to say when... I am for the legalization, tax it, help the schools and hospitals and our Veterns who are homeless, remember prohibition, that didn't work so well people are going to do it anyways so we might as well generate some money for the economy....
