Any pot smoker who saw John Walters debate Harvard Prof. Jeff Miron on CNN had to wince every time he opened his mouth. For instance, Walters called medical-marijuana a "phony issue" and claimed, "It's not going to people who are sick" in California. See Clip Below

Here's another gem from Walters' appearance on AC360: "There's this myth that people who smoke marijuana are kind of cute Cheech & Chong characters from old-time movies. In fact, it's a source of agitation, it's a source of impaired judgement, it's a source of in some cases making people whose behavior is already erratic get very erratic. The greater potency has something to do with that..."John Walters

After working at the Office of National Drug Control Policy under both Bush administrations, Walters now has an office at  the neo-conservative think tank Hudson Institute, where he's executive VP.

"Hudson Institute," reads its mission statement, "is a non-partisan policy research organization dedicated to innovative research and analysis that promotes global security, prosperity, and freedom."

Not quite. With Walters aboard, how can they be considered non-partisan? Hudson receives funding from pharmaceutical and chemical companies like DuPont (famous for their support of drug prohibition), Eli Lilly, Monsanto, Dow-Elanco, Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz (LSD-25, anyone?).

Walters will continue to get his shots on CNN, but eventually he and others like him will be out of work. They're Drug War dinosaurs headed for extinction.

This piece of trash mentions the need for treatment for cannabis users, what he fails to admit is , that this is forced treatment, all against the will of the person recieving treatment. And legalizing virtually eliminates this need. Im sure the more people who are in this forced treatment allows for a larger budget for whatever he is involved in, so why wouldnt he use that to attempt to enhance his already failed argument, wow thats lol funny.

Non violent tax paying citizen
F John Walters, he is a greedy SOB who profits off of the "War on Drugs" He is a selfish person who only cares about his own well being, he has ruined the lives of many Americans in his impossible pursuit of a drug free America without even feeling one bit guilty for the number of families and lives he has ruined. He along with the War on Drugs were a COMPLETE FAILURE!!!! American drug problems are worse off now than when he became the drug Czar!!! I hate John Walters, and so does the majority of Americans which was proven with the latest polls which show that more than half the country believes marijuana should be legal. Yet he still would like people to suffer so the funding to his department is not interrupted. What a great American huh?

This is the guy that made the drug policy decisions for the last how many years and he is quoted saying things that sound like they come from an uneducated 15 year old on the subject of marijuana!!!!!!!!!!! shouldn't this be the one person that has a clear and factual understanding of the drugs!!! Ok I am convinced, its all about greed and money, and obviously the DEA, pharma, lobbyists, politicians ect. ect. are just living the life of Riley at the non violent tax payers expense. This is crazy, and no longer should American citizens stand for this!
