Joseph "Run" Simmons' son Jojo was busted for marijuana and paraphernalis possession, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment on May 7. Caught rolling a joint or blunt in his BMW at 7:30 pm on Wadsworth Ave. in New York's Washington Heights section, the 19-year-old co-star of Run's House on MTV allegedly attempted to flee the police dragnet.

On July 16, Simmons pled guilty to disorderly conduct and received a sentence of one-day community service. The other charges wer dismissed.

JoJo's father co-founded Run-D.M.C.. His uncle is hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.

Jojo does not sound VERY SMART...first, with his relatives, he is obviously HIGH PROFILE, which makes it STUPID for him to be rolling up a blunt in public, let alone in his car. Sounds as if he thought he was above the law.

I am all for legalization...that said, if Jojo wants to be stupid with his actions, he has to pay the price...with his family connections, sure the charges will some how dissappear, or he will get a light slap on the wrist for his compounded infractons...once caught he should have just taken his lumps and been done with it...running was STUPID, and getting into a altercation dumber still.
