Busted last September for possessing marijuana in Florida, stand-up comic Ron "Tater Salad" White pled guilty and paid a fine. Now he's made the arrest story a big part of his live act.
White's latest Comedy Central special, DVD and CD - all titled Behavioral Problems - features the following routine:
"They found 7/8s of a gram of marijuana in my bag. Now when I have 7/8s of a gram of marijuana I consider myself to be out of marijuana. That is no weed. And it's medical marijuana - it was prescribed to me by a doctor in California where I live. I told the cop that. He said, What did you tell the doctor to get a prescription for marijuana? I said, Well, the doctor said, Do you have any symptoms that marijuana helps alleviate? WelI, I said I get bummed when I run out of weed. Marijuana cures that. They handcuffed me and put me in the back of a cop car and took me to jail. Now I'm not whining about that - I broke the law, that's fine, but fuck this is Florida. These cops drove by three meth labs and a dead hooker just to get there... I was was in jail for an hour and a half. I don't know how word gets out so fast, but when I walk out of jail there's a big truckload of kids and they have these signs that say: FREE TATER!"
Hey Tommy Chong aka TC mad cool on the nick naming. Your tribal name should be "Toking Cloud" lol but hey if your anywhere in the SW FL area let me know and how to know where you'll be; i'm a big fan but always have wanted to see ya and you know it would be the shit and you would be welcomed with green filled arms...O and as i said previously, if your ever near, try and do a Florida tour; it'd make alot of these non violent medicinal users(who want it to be that way) to help change the politics minds...plus it's always warm here so outside events are always welcomed( p.s. cheech's should be Coughing Munchies") ha ha..

Wow! That is weird because the show was in "smell o vision". We could smell the herb from the stage all during the show. I guess the "no smoking" rule in the theatre was in effect if they did it openly. I am very sorry to hear that any one was removed because of smoking the herb. Sorry....come to the show as our guests next time....tc

Cheeh and Chong ( Light up America ) NOT IN STOCKTON CA. I and seven of my Famliy was kicked out of a cheech and chong show for me taken my medacation. Without worning I was removed even before cheeh and chong took the stage. I fill this is unfair to Med can card holders. We are not allowed to take our meds. I was not bouthering or hurting anyone. They said that it was because there is no smoking inside the Fox theater but Ron White was sure smoking his cigar when I went to see him at the same theater and he was not told to leave. No where on the on the ticket does it say that you can not Smoke or take any Medacation.

Sort of like needing to hire a 12 year old to hook me up with the good medical weed because my county won't allow a dispensary.
