Weeds picks up where the show left off last year - in Mexico, with Nancy telling Esteban she's pregnant. In the first episode of Season 5:
• Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) returns from Mexico and tells Andy (Justin Kirk) about her predicament. The entire Botwin family - Andy, Silas (Hunter Parrish) and Shane (Alexander Gould) - are pissed at Nancy for putting all of their lives in danger by dating and getting knocked up by a Mexican drug lord (Demian Bichir).

• Andy, Silas and Doug (Kevin Nealon) head off to a nearby National Forest to plant clones.
• Nancy sends Shane to Oakland to stay with her older sister Jill (Jennifer Jason Leigh)
• Celia (Elizabeth Perkins) remains in Mexico, held hostage by her daughter and her boyfriend.
According to Showtime, "Nancy's pregnancy brings security, then jeopardy, and maybe the end Esteban's political career. Celia's return to Ren-Mar brings a powerful new job prospect. Andy's new love interest brings unintended consequences. And Doug and Silas open a new pot club."
Leigh will appear in the next two episodes. Alanis Morissette also joins the cast as Dr. Audra Kitson - Nancy's obstetrician. She'll appear in seven episodes.
In other Weedsnews, Parker says she opposed getting naked in Season Four's final episode (the bathtub scene). "I didn't think I needed to be naked, and I fought with the director about it, and now I'm bitter," she says. "I knew it was going to be on the Internet: 'Mary-Louise shows off her big nipples.' I wish I hadn't done that. I was goaded into it."
Executive producer Roberto Benabib replies: "There was a nonchalance to the nudity that informed the scene."
Parker is no stranger to on-screen nudity. Click here
Season Five of Weeds debuts on Showtime on June 8 at 10 pm EST
