The Playboy Mansion rolled out the green carpet, hosting the Marijuana Policy Project's fourth-annual benefit in BelAir on June 4. Balk (right) set the tone early when she called for a change in the pot laws. "Let's legalize marijuana," exclaimed the actress who's appeared in Humboldt County and Almost Famous. Ammiano seconded that motion. The San Francisco Assemblyman has sponsored a bill that would tax and regulate marijuana in California. MPP executive director Rob Kampia called the bill the No. 1 most important thing to happen in policy reform since last year's Playboy bash.Tenacious Me

Gass, who played with a trio he dubbed Tenacious Me, joked that "Jack Black couldn't make it tonight because he's making too much money elsewhere." They performed three songs: "Ventura Highway, " "Greatest Song in the World" and "Fuck Her Gently."
Dandy Warhols
The Dandly Warhols' Courtney Taylor-Taylor thanked the "marijuana press, because they do a good job," in particular West Coast Cannabis' Ngaio Belum, who got the band stoned before their half-hour set, which included "Bohemian Like You" and "Heroin Is So Passe." Their latest album The Dandy Warhols Are Sound comes out on July 14.
