Episode 3 of Weeds Season 5 features sibling rivals Nancy and her older sister Jill (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Unfortunately, it's Leigh's final appearance of the season after just two episodes.
Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) is being watched by one of Esteben's henchmen, Sucio. Jill arrives with Andy (Justin Kirk) - they're having an affair - and Shane (Alexander Gould) to find an armed man in the house. Nancy agrees to fund Silas' medipot shop, but not before warning her oldest son: "Where marijuana's involved, there's always a risk. My exciting and death-defying adventures in the drug trade should've taught you that by now." Clearly, Silas (Hunter Parrish) has been keeping up on national news. "Obama's president, they're not going to bust them anymore," he says, referring to the White House's new hands-off policy regarding California's marijuana dispensaries. "Like it or not, you made this the family business. At least I'm doing it legal." Meanwhile, Celia is dispatched from Mexico to Texas. When Sucio disappears, bleeding, Nancy pulls up stakes and moves the family to an undisclosed location.
