Wednesday, 05 August 2009 19:29

Yet another NFL player has been arrested for marijuana. Eagles' defensive lineman Juqua Parker was charged with misdemeanor possession after Pennsylvania police pulled over a car he was in, smelled pot and searched the vehicle. Parker's the 12th player to be busted for drugs since 2008 and the fourth this year.

Juqua ParkerParker, fellow teammate Todd Herremans and two woman were in a Ford Econoline near the Eagles' practice facility at Lehigh University in Lower Saucon Township when police stopped the van for driving with the headlights off and for making an illegal left turn at 12:33 am on Aug. 5. They found a small bag containing marijuana and a burnt blunt. Police took Parker, who was not driving, to Northampton County Prison where he paid $1,000 bail and was released at 3:40 am.

After graduating from Oklahoma State, Parker started his pro career with Tennessee before signing with Philadelphia in 2005. He had five sacks and 76 tackles in 2008.

Parker joins 2009 bustees Reggie Williams (coke, pot, DUI), Roderick Green (pot) and Leroy Hill (pot).
