Beanie Sigel, who's spent time in jail on gun and probation violation charges, may be going back to prison after his latest arrest - for marijuana possession.

On Aug. 16, Sigel (a.k.a. Dwight Grant) was in a car stopped by police at 12:44 am in Wrightstown, Pennsylvania, a small Bucks County township. He and two others were each charged with possession of less than 50 grams.

Sigel, who got his start as Jay-Z's protege in 1998, spent a year in jail on gun charges in 2004 and an additional three months for violating probation in 2008. In 2005, he was acquitted of an attempted murder charge.

The rapper's latest CD, The Broad Street Bully, is scheduled to be released on Sept. 1.
