The word legalize in this sense is complete nonsense. It will still remain ILLEGAL to grow marijuana. Therefore this will NOT stop cartels and dealers from their greater crimes because where do you think these Mexicans will acquire their 4 joints worth? I think this could even be counter productive because the opponents of legalization will be able to say, "see, we tried legalization and it did not work, we still rampant crimes associated with dealers"

I guess it will be nice for tourists though to not have to spend a week in a Mexican jail for a joint taken to Cancun for a 'memorable' vacation (or more likely only slightly remembered...lol)

Please take the term 'Legal' out of this, if something was legal it wouldn't be taken away by the police when they catch you. Tolerate, or decriminalize make more sense because you wont get arrested for it but it is still taken away and you are advised to go to treatment...doesnt sound Legal to me..

The Mexicans are getting tired of dying for a gringo drug war that even the gringos are realizing needs to end.

Also, .015 milligrams is 15 micrograms, I think. They may need to adjust that and what lab would even be able to determine that precise amount?
