Police arrested Lapiz Consciente in the Dominican Republic for marijuana possession. The rapper's weed song “Tengo y Bajo a Yerba” has been banned by authorities on the island.

Consciente (nee Avelino Junior Figueroa Rodriguez) and two other members of his group were apprehended in Santiago in Northern DR on Aug. 21.

The song (see clip below) is “a direct incitement to consume drugs, particularly marijuana,” according to the DNCD drug enforcement agency.
