The much beloved "Emperor of Hemp" Jack Herer, who collapsed backstage on Sept. 12 at Hempstalk 2009 in Portland after having a heart attack, remains in a coma at Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

Despite minimal brain activity, he's hanging in there, according to family members. There has been no change in his condition since it was falsely reported on Friday that Jack had passed away. He is currently being treated with hemp oil.

The author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes suffered a stroke and heart attack in 2000 at another Oregon festival.

Just minutes before his Hempstalk speech, he looked fit and declared, "I'm getting better and better and better. I'm healthier than I've been..."

This US Bank fund has been seized by the people who are controlling Jack's life illegally. If you really want to help, make sure you are giving to something legitimate and this is not it. Eventually these people will be prosecuted for fraud. It will just take time. The paperwork they are using has already determined to be a fraud by the legal team at Legacy Hospital. The nursing home will be sued. If you give $ to this fund it is no longer in the control of his wife but it belongs to a psycho claiming to be his mistress that has sex tapes to prove it. This is absolutely bizarre and should demonstrate that she is not sane and is by all means is nothing more than a stalker at this point.

I have spoken with jack's family and the medical staff at the facility that he is at. This article is false and is just a poor copy of the bad reporting done by Examiner.com. Both sites should be ashamed of themselves for their poor journalism.

Jack Herer is in a very bad way, his brain has been affected more than 70% and they don't know if he will come out of the coma. We are praying for a miracle, but preparing for the worst. The longer he stays in the coma, the less chance he has of making it. Let's all pray very hard for Jack and send positive healing energy his way!

Everyone who understands--and many who don't--the contributions towards all forms of freedom that Jack Herer represents are following these events as they develop with great hope for Jack's SPEEDY recovery.

Latest news is that Jack is in a "medicaly induced coma for 48 hours" to minimize the chances of additional heart damage, and that his wife and son are with him...like us, waiting it out in the hope that good news will be coming soon.
