The Emerald Triangle Tour

File this little-known California supergroup under Monsters of Marijuana Folk. Their Emerald Triangle Tour, conceived by L.A'.s "Farmer Dave" Scher (who's played lap steel and keyboards for the likes of Beachwood Sparks, Jenny Lewis and Interpol) along with jam pals Andy Cabic (Vetiver), Neal Casal (Ryan Adams and the Cardinals), Johnathan Rice, Colin Dobrin and Jonathan Wilson, is winding its way through harvest country spreading positive vibes and psychedelic tunes.

Taking turns accompanying each others' material, the band has only three gigs under its collective belt, but a lifetime of experience and it shows. The tour stopped in Nevada City on Nov. 4, and at a fundraiser in Sonoma County for the MPP on Nov. 5. On Saturday, Nov. 7 they'll be performing at the Caspar Inn in Mendocino.
