'Bored to Death': Love and a Vaporizer

She's the newest cast member of Saturday Night Live - who could forget her dropping the f-bomb in her first show? - but what we really love about Jenny Slate is her ganja-girl character Stella on HBO's Bored to Death.

Stella and lead character Jonathan (Jason Schwartzman) meet in Episode 7 ("The Case of the Stolen Sperm") at the Brooklyn Co-op health-food store. She's wearing a "Legalize It" pot-leaf t-shirt so Jonathan offers to smoke her out. "I like a man who carries a one-hitter," Stella flirts. "We should definitely smoke again sometime. I just ordered this vaporizer - the Volcano. They use it on medical patients in Germany. It's really healthy. It's what Woody Harrelson uses."

Next episode ("Take a Dive"), Stella lures stoner-detective Jonathan over to her apartment to try out the Volcano. In a TV first, we see the conical German made device and a full turkey bag. "Just squeeze down on that nipple and suck in the marijuana vapors," she playfully instructs.

"It's like I've been instantly and beautifully lobotomized," Jonathan extols.

"And it's healthy because it's invisible vapor," Stella chimes in.

Laughter leads to a kiss and then it's on to the bedroom. Love and a vaporizer indeed!
