Breckenridge: 'The Amsterdam of the Rockies' PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 01 January 2010 21:41

The Colorado ski town that legalized marijuana in November and enacted the law on New Year's Day is being compared to the notorious Dutch capital. Possession of up to an ounce of pot and paraphernalia are no longer crimes for anyone over 21.
Breckenridge
Breckenridge is the second city in Colorado (Denver's the other) and in the U.S. to legalize marijuana.

In November, voters passed Measure 2F by a 73% margin.

Selling pot remains a felony and use is forbidden on the slopes.

Why deal weed when you can go to one of Breckenridge's dispensaries?

Breckenridge is a safe city, as are the rest of Colorado's mountain towns.

Notorious Dutch capital? Give us a break. Its a hell of a lot safer to walk around Amsterdam, day or night than any American city.

Get educated on prohibition's failure, and the safe recreational and medical use of marijuana. Spread the word!
