Brian Bonsall Busted in Boulder

Troubled TV actor Brian Bonsall was arrested at a court hearing in Boulder on Feb. 19 after failing a drug test for marijuana four days earlier. The former Family Ties co-star (he was Andy) has been busted three times since 2004 (the first for DUI and next two for assault).

Bonsall claims to be a medical marijuana user, but has yet to register officially with the state.

He also appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation and several '90s films, including Blank Check, Father Hood and Mikey.

Anyone who thinks this is anyone's fault but his is mistaken. He has been given more chances than anyone I know. He's abusive and out of control. Just because he's a child star he shouldn't be felt sorry for. He's an adult and has been to re hab several times. He needs to shut up, take his punishment, get a job, take out those lip piercings and get that butterfly lasered off his neck. He has a good heart but he needs his ass kicked. And for people to stop calling him "the bonz" he's creeping up on 30. Anyone who thinks he needs "a break" doesn't know him. His life has been full of breaks. What he needs is for people to STOP giving him breaks, and make him take his punishment like a man. Maybe it will be his "bottom" and he can start over again.

A friend

I know the "Bonz" aka Brian Bonsall and it's not his fault. I've seen him on the phone asking and begging his Mom for funds to cover bills and such in the past, and she still to this day has control of him and plays the puppet master pulling his strings since he was little.

I hope that people will realize the cards he was dealt was not a hand he asked for.
