CBS Lifts Ban on NORML Ad PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 05 March 2010 02:28

CBS_potleafWhat was "too political" several weeks ago has been deemed tolerable by CBS, who refused to run a 15-second NORML ad on its Time Square Super Screen. Now CBS's communications vice president Shannon Jacobs says they "will accept the ad if they still want to run it." The ad below shows a tree with dollars signs and reads, "Money CAN Grow on Trees! -  Legalize Marijuana - Billions in Taxes."

Update: On Mar. 11, NORML confirmed the ad will debut next week and "appear 18 times per day on the CBS’s digital billboard," through May 31.

Executive director Allen St. Pierre stated: "This tax season, why not ask your elected politicians why the federal government continues to spends billions of tax dollars enforcing this failed and archaic public policy?"
