Jay Leno on Pot: 'Decriminalize It' PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 06 April 2010 22:13

In a spirited debate with Top CelebStoner Bill Maher about California's Tax Cannabis Act, Jay Leno took the middle ground. "If you want to grow it in your backyard and you want to smoke it or get it from friend, that's fine," the talk-show host said. "I just don't want to see it in stores."

Jay Leno"Let us have our moment," Maher pled with Leno on Mar. 31. "This is the biggest legislative breakthrough we've had in 30 years. Finally, this issue is not a third rail in politics anymore."

"I say decriminalize it," Leno (left) added about marijuana. "I don't want to be inducing young people who really don't want to smoke to, through trick advertising or peer pressure, to get into it. Anybody who wants to do it is fine with me. I just don't want it to become a Madison Ave. product."

F decrim (except as a stepping stone). I'd rather "induce" my own children "through peer pressure" to smoke pot than to smoke cigarettes.
