Top CelebStoner Kid Cudi was arrested on June 11 after an altercation with a woman in her Manhattan apartment. Police charged him with criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance.

The incident took place on 24 St. in the Chelsea section at approximately 4:20 am. Cudi (a.k.a Scott Mescudi) allegedly broke down the front door of the apartment and destroyed the woman's cell phone.

One report states that the woman is environmental activist Jamie Baratta (at left in photo), whom Cudi had been dating.

It's unclear what drug Cudi was in possession of. TMZ says police confiscated a glass bottle. The Guardian UK claims liquid cocaine was the bottle. The New York Daily News, however, intitially reported, "Cops found a glassine envelope of an unknown substance in his front pocket." The substance proved to be cocaine, the News claims.

Update: On Sept. 28, Cudi agreed to serve two days of community service in exchange for dismissal of he charges. He also must stay out of trouble for six months. Cudi recently told a Brooklyn audience about the incident, “I was wilding out and shit, but I’m good now. I just smoke weed."
