Traded by Tennessee on Apr. 24 and released by Seattle on May 28, LenDale White expects to be suspended by the NFL for testing positive for pot.

Update: White was officially suspended by the NFL on July 1. He will sit out the first four games of the 2010 season.

“I did it, so it is my fault,’’ the running back says. “I smoked marijuana; that is all I have ever done. That’s all I do, that’s it. I smoke. I don’t care about any other drugs, but it’s marijuana... But I have changed. I am a good man. Unfortunately the stuff that I did in my recent past caught up to me in the present and it’s affecting my future.’’

A second round draft pick out of USC in 2006, White led the Titans in rushing yards (1,100) in 2007 and touchdowns (15) in 2008. But his playing time dwindled in 2009, leading to the recent trade.

Just a month later, the Seahawks cut the 235-pound White from their prospective 2010 roster. Though no reason was given for the move, White believes it has to do with a failed drug test.

Is LenDale White the new Ricky Williams?
