NORML's 39th annual national conference takes place in Portland, Oregon from Sept 9-11. The highlight speakers include:

Steve Bloom's video presentation traces the history of stoner movies, from Reefer Madness (1936) to the present. It's based on Bloom and Shirley Halperin's new book, Reefer Movie Madness: The Ultimate Stoner Film Guide. NORML founder Keith Stroup will read his essay ("The True Story of Reefer Madness") from the book.
In addition, there will be screenings of Len Richmond's What If Cannabis Cured Cancer? (Sat., 1 pm) and Sean Pamphilon's Run Ricky Run (Thurs., 1 pm), and the High Times/NORML Activist Awards & Silent Auction (Thurs., 5-8 pm).
