Just weeks before the vote to legalize marijuana in California, Ziggy Marley released a new song that urges people to reconsider the value of the hemp plant. "I see marijuana trees growing wild and free," he sings. "I see hemp fields forever growing wild and free."



"I know it's only a weed," Bob Marley's second-oldest child writes on his website. "After all, what can a simple weed offer people? It's not as romantic as a rose, nor as celebrated as tobacco or hops, neither does it have the connections of oil or corn, but its uses are one zillion times more beneficial to all of us than is known or told."
