Wiz Khalifa and nine other members of his entourage were arrested at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina after performing there on Nov. 8. Police smelled marijuana backstage and followed them to the tour bus, where they seized 60 grams of pot and charged each with marijuana trafficking, maintaining a place for sale of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. About the arrest, Khalifa told Sirius Radio's Angele Yee: "I should be OK. Trees aren't bad. They found 'em, it was there. I'm not even sure it was on the bus, because I wasn't there. I was coming off stage."

Like many rappers, Khalifa extols the virtues of marijuana in his music and videos (see "In the Cut" below). Prior to the vote on Prop 19 in California, he said, "Hopefully, they'll legalize it. Everybody'd be smellin' like me if they passed that."





The 23-year-old Pittsburgh native currently has a hit with "Black and Yellow."
