Add Wavves' frontman Nathan Williams to the ever-growing list of musicians arrested for marijuana. During a traffic stop in Germany on Nov. 18, police found a bag of pot in the band's vehicle. "I had six bags in the car and they found only one - the fucking dogs never work," Williams joked after the bust.
"I bet it's high from all the fumes. They put me in a cell, which was a little nerve-wracking." He paid a 200 Euros fine.
The noise-pop trio out of San Diego have three albums. King of the Beach, which was released in August, has a pot leaf on the cover. The band also sells souvenir grinders at shows. The other two members of Wavves - Billy Hayes and Stephen Pope - formerly played with Jay Reatard, who died on Jan. 13.
Williams dates fellow singer Bethany Cosentino, who's in Best Coast.
