All 50 states have started Willie Nelson-inspired Teapot Parties since the singer called for a new political party that "leans a little to the left" after his marijuana arrest in Texas on Nov. 26. "Tax it, regulate it and legalize it," the singer says. "And stop the border wars over drugs."
Tommy Chong was the first to jump on the Teapot Party bandwagon. "If Willie gets behind something, you know it is going to be big and in your face," Chong told CelebStoner. "Any pot party is a wonderful idea."
So far, 46,000 people have clicked "Like" on the Facebook/TeapotParty page.

Alaska Teapot Party
There are 600,000 American citizens who live in the District of Columbia. They are denied representation in Congress and have no Senators or Representatives. Congress can act as tyrants and do whatever they want to those second-class citizens. One example is that in 1998 DC residents had a ballot initiative for medical cannabis and Congress withheld money to even let the votes be counted. In the end, after a lawsuit that reached the Supreme Court, the ballots were counted and 69% of DC residents voted in favor of medical cannabis. However, Congress prevented the citizens' ballot initiative from becoming law for over 12 years. After it was finally passed, the District City Council passed the second-most restrictive program in the country (after New Jersey), which prevents home cultivation and allows cannabis for only the sick and dying.
Regardless, the 600,000 American citizens of the District of Columbia want statehood so they can be like other Americans and have representation in Congress.

The most annoying thing about quitting was the inability to get to sleep. I had smoked weed occasionally and never cared for the effect but knew it did make me tired. Seeing as I was not trying to replace alcohol with weed but using it as a way to get some sleep I decided to give it a try. Just a few hits in the evening and zzzz, out I went! When I started doing this I smoked about 1/4 oz every two weeks just in the evening before bed and now after 28 yrs of no alcohol. I sleep like a baby!
The down side to all this is last yr I was "ratted" on for growing 8 plants and am facing felony charges from the State of New Hampshire (3 1/2 to 7 yrs) for not being the drunk that killed someone's daughter or son! I still do not believe this is the answer for all alcohol problems because I think if you try to substitute a booze buzz with weed you will be sadly disappointed, but for me it definitely was the ticket.
