Diplomats MC Juelz Santana (a.k.a. LaRon James) was hit with five weapon and marijuana charges on Feb. 2 following the Jan. 20 raid on his Bergenfield, New Jersey studio that netted two guns and 17 bags of weed. After being released from the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, Santana tweeted: "Out on bail $125k. NO 10%. Sellin dime bags!? LMFAO!"

Santana told MTV on Feb. 3: "I've been done with that, that life. Especially selling weed. It ain't like they said, 'Oh we raided his studio, we found 100 pounds of marijuana.' They found less than a half a ounce of weed in a studio. In a studio? That's what people do - go to the studio, smoke weed. So why would you assume that's being sold instead of being smoked? Then at the end of the day, I wasn't even there, so how would you pin some charges on me?"

The charges are: possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone. 

Update: On June 20, Santana told MTV: "My name is the biggest so of course they are going to target me as the one to put a lot of the blame on. I had no clue on what's going on, I rent the studio out to people... I have no knowledge of what's going on until I come back and your [rental] time is finished.

"They charged me with the firearms," he added. "They didn't charge me with trying to sell, but they put out a statement making it seem like I was selling weed out of my studio, which is preposterous. Dime bags? I got a Phantom and a Bentley outside of my studio; I'm not selling dime bags. That shit is just crazy."

Santana (a.k.a. LeRon James) has been arrested twice before in 2008 and 2009. Rapper Hynief (Toby Raynor) was also arrested on drug charges at the studio on Washington Ave.
