Lifting a line from Bill Hicks, Roseanne Barr writes in her new book Roseannarchy: Dispatches from the Nut Farm, pot is "the only drug that should be legal. In fact, it should be mandatory."

Barr also reveals: "I had stopped smoking the Herb of the Goddess that had forever kept me balanced enough to become successful and rich, in order to support my then-husband's (Tom Arnold) 'sobriety,' and that led to massive bipolar troubles that were all capped off with tons of psychiatrists and psychiatric drugs, none of which helped with my problems at all and, in face, made them even worse."

In 1994, marijuana was the subject on an episode of Roseanne, when she caught her son David with a bag of weed that turned out to be her own.
