In A NORML Life (from Cinema Libre Studio), director Rod Pitman tackles the current issues facing marijuana-law reformers while also giving NORML props for years of dedication and perseverance against all odds. Watch the trailer below

NORML executive  directors, board directors and staffers all are given plenty of opportunity to illuminate issues that are most important to them, such as Sabrina Fendrick, who runs the NORML Women's Alliance out of NORML's Washington, DC office, and Russ Belville, who produces NORML's daily podcast out of a Portland, Oregon studio.

Mostly Pitman focuses on the West Coast scene, traveling up the coast of California to Portland and to the Seattle Hempfest. A who's who of activists and reformers pop up in front of his cameras, including patients Elvy Muiskka, Tonya Davis and Linda Witzel; perennial Kentucky gubernatorial candidate Gatewood Galbraith; Marc Emery's wife, Jodi, who now runs Cannabis Culture and other businesses in Vancouver; and the flamboyant MC and executive director of Seattle Hempfest, Vivian McPeak.

The most unusual and surprising interview is with Doors co-founder and keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who attended the 2008 NORML Conference in Berkeley. Check out the Manzarek extra in which, among other things, he expounds on marijuana's influence on the Doors.

Not the most exciting documentarian, Pitman stays on point, delivering the message NORML has been bringing to Americans for 40 years: Legalize it!
