Marijuana Dealer: Zach Randolph 'Snatched' My Weed PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 27 August 2011 13:02

Sporting a bandage above his right eye, James Beasley says NBA All-Star Zach Randolph stole $200 worth of pot from him last Saturday night, Aug. 20, during a get-together at Randolph's million-dollar home south of Portland, Oregon. Then several men beat Beasley with a pool stick.

The confrontation took place at 4 am after Randolph and a group of friends returned to the house with Beasley, a pot dealer, after they took a cruise on the Willamette River.

ZachRandolph"He got upset about the price, " Beasley says about the 6-9, 260-pound Memphis Grizzlies forward. "He thought the price was too high. He snatched the weed out of my hand, like aggressively. He snatched it like basically like saying, 'I'm takin' your weed.' (Then) they hit me upside the head with a pool cue."

Watch the interview here.

Randolph is not a suspect in the assault. No one has been arrested yet for beating Beasley.

In 2010, Randolph was implicated in marijuana-selling ring in Indianapolis when one of his associates was caught with 90 gram in one of his cars.

Drafted out of Michigan State by Portland in 2001, the high-scoring hoopster has been traded to New York, the Clippers and Memphis, where he was named to the Western All-Star team in 2010. Last season, Randolph averaged 20 ppg and 12 rpg.
