Who was that indie rock band sharing the stage with Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars at the MTV Video Music Awards? None other than Irvine, California's Young the Giant, who opened eyes with their crowd-friendly vibe. On "Cough Syrup" from Young the Giant's eponymously titled debut, Sameer Gahdia sings, "I'm waiting for this cough syrup to come down."
