Known for hauling in passes, former Cincinnati wide receiver Jerome Simpson caught flak from state and federal authorities after a 2.5 pound package containing Northern California marijuana that arrived at his Crestview Hills home in Kentucky on Sept. 20. Update: On Mar. 1, Simpson pled guilty to a reduced charge in exchange for a 15-day jail sentence, $7,500 fine, three years' probation, 200 hours community service and drug testing. On Apr. 23, the NFL suspended Simpson for three games. He's currently a free agent.

Let’s keep celebrities and everyday citizens from crowding our courts and jails contributing to the money pit that is the War on Pot. Groups are organizing all over the country to speak their minds on reforming pot laws. I drew up a very cool poster for the cause which you can check out on my artist's blog. Drop in and let me know what you think!

Yes it is a plant yet how does one know what was used in the growing of it? Many growers use chemicals to grow it as well as poisons against bugs and the wild life that might eat their plants. Therefore one could be smoking poison as there is no regulations on how it's grown. I say legalize it and grow organically for a healthier smoke. Does he know who grew it? f\For all anyone knows, it could have been grown by the cartels that have no respect for our lands...

I saw a program on NBC where they said that our state, Colorado, has balanced the state's books with the taxes from just the medical growers. That does not include the taxes from dispensaries.

Really not a big deal
It's a plant. You know what's in it and where it comes from and it's not going to kill you. Never going to get rid of it so might as well just legalize it and put the money to fight it towards fighting real drugs like heroin, crack and blizzard. Would be money better spent...
