FX's gritty biker show, Sons of Anarchy, is as dark and compelling as The Sopranos. In the recently completed fourth season, SAMCRO becomes coke mules for a Mexican cartel, splitting the club apart.
Clay (Ron Pearlman) makes the deal with the Gallindos after barely winning a club vote. Jax (Charlie Hunnam) wants a big score so he can leave Charming with his old lady, Tara (Maggie Siff), and their two toddlers. But after several scary encounters with the Gallindos, Jax gets cold feet and wants out of the deal.
Meanwhile, SAMCRO - the club's moniker - is being investigated by the Feds, and the new black sheriff in town has a huge hard-on for the outlaw bikers.
But the real drama is internal. Big secrets about the death of Jax's father, John, who founded the club, prompt an increasingly irrational Clay to rid SAMCRO of anyone he thinks knows, including Opie's dad. That nearly proves to be Clay's undoing when Opie (Ryan Hurst) exacts revenge in Episode 12. Jax keeps Clay alive, grabs the gavel and decides to stick around for Season 5. Ron Pearlman and Charlie Hunnam
MJ on SOA: Juice (Theo Rossi) regularly purchases marijuana at Clear Passages, a Charming dispensary. He's a rat who self-medicates and later tries to kill himself. Clay and his old lady, Gemma (the amazing Katey Sagal), often smoke joints.
