New Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish arrived in Dallas from Japan on Friday wearing a potleaf t-shirt with the words I WILL SURVIVE on it.

"I have no worries," Darvish said in his first MLB press conference. "I'm looking forward to a different environment, different challenge and different hitters. I'm looking forward to a different league. It will be more exciting."

Darvish went 18-6 for the Nippon Ham Fighters in 2011. The 25-year-old fireballer's record over five seasons is 76-28 with a 1.71 ERA. The Rangers signed him to a six-year, $60 million contract.
