 Now that they appear to be some sort of scandalous couple - mates perhaps - Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty are planning to record a duet,  recently were photographed kissing and there's this bizarre video of Wino coddling baby mice while Doherty sings "It's a dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life" from the '60s show tune, "Feelin' Good." Meanwhile, charges were dropped against Wino this week over the so-called "drugs video" and Doherty was released from jail after beating a drug test with another prisoner's urine. Watch video

person benefit, which focused primarily on medical marijuana, began with a little humor from emcee Steve Marshal who noted,

 In Texas Monthly's oral history of Willie Nelson, who turned 75 on Apr. 29, Kinky Friedman says, "There’s a reason Willie smokes dope... to keep down the rage." Jimmy Carter also recalls: "I can’t deny that he smoked marijuana on the roof of the White House, but I also cannot confirm that he did."

 Despite proof that pot use has declined in England since it was essentially decriminalized in 2004, the current U.K. government led by Gordon Brown wants to increase penalties for marijuana possession. To which the Liberal Democrats have responded: "We need public education, not public flagellation." Parliament will decide whether or not to enact this new law.
