Tommy Chong lit up Hash Bash in Ann Arbor on Sat., Apr. 4. He addressed the throng on the University of Michigan campus...

'I've been to a bunch of these Hash Bashes. I don't remember them, but peoples said I was here. As you know I got busted for selling bongs a few years ago. It gave me the kind of publicity that now when I start my bong company up again it will be worldwide known. I was supposed to go to Washington, DC to help lobby, but I got disinvited because of my reputation. I don't blame them, because I really have one message for the government of the United States: that is, to decriminalize pot use and reschedule it to Schedule 2, and then get the fuck out of the way. That's all we need. We don't need to be told how to grow it, how to smoke it, how to sell it, who to give it to, because the greatest thing about the weed is that it is medicine. All pot use is medical use.'
