Despite claims to the contrary, Tasers can cause death, as in the cases of a Louisiana man who was shot nine times with 50,000 volts in January and a Winnepeg man who died yesterday after police tased him. Since 2003, there have been more than 300 Taser-related deaths in the U.S. and Canada. And last weekend, security tased a pot smoker at a Sammy Hagar concert in Connecticut. Fresh from releasing a children's album, Barenaked Ladies' co-founder
Steven Page was allegedly caught with cocaine at a girlfriend's apartment in
upstate New York. Police claim there was a dispute, which led to an
early-morning search and the arrests of Page and two others. Page has pleaded not guiltly.

G-Funk rapper Warren G was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell after Hollywood police stopped his vehicle for running a red light at Hollywood Blvd. and Wilcox Ave. on Sunday at 1:40 am. He and a driver were arrested and bailed out eight hours later for $20,000 each. Warren Griffin 3rd is best known for "Regulate," his Dr. Dre-produced debut single in 1994. On that song, he rapped: "If you smoke like I smoke, then you're high like everyday." Griffin also has a gun possession prior from 1996.

Broadcom co-founder Henry T. Nicholas has been charged with 21 counts of drug possession, intent to sell and maintaining several properties in the Los Angeles area for such purposes from 1998 to 2003. Mostly, the Feds say, Nicholas was involved in distribution of Ecstasy, coke and meth, but on page 11 of the indictment, "Overt Act No. 50" is described thusly: "In or around 2001, defendent Nicholas distributed and used controlled substances during a flight on a private plane between Orange County, California, and La Vegas, Nevada, causing marijuana smoke and fumes to enter the cockpit and requiring the pilot to put on an oxygen mask." Amy Winehouse's latest arrest is her most bizarre yet. She wasn't caught with drugs, but was filmed smoking crack in January. Wino surrendered to Scotland Yard on Wednesday in London for nine hours of grilling about the so-called "drugs video" before making bail.

Seventy-five San Diego State University students were arrested yesterday and charged with drug dealing on campus. Seven fraternities were cited for moving pot, coke, meth, 'shrooms and Ecstasy. The DEA's Operation Sudden Fall netted a total of 96 people, all male. Enlarged pic

The Jackass jokester was arrested on Mar. 3 after repeatedly jabbing a broom handle until it poked through a neighbor's wall. Washington, D.C.-based R&B singer J. Holiday (nee Nahum Grymes) was arrested for marijuana possession in Salisbury, Maryland on Thursday night. Stopped for speeding, Maryland State Police claimed "there was a visual observation of marijuana on his person, on his front shirt and that coupled with the odor of marijuana, Mr. Grymes was arrested for that." A "nominal amount" of weed was found in the car's center console. Holiday had just performed at the University of Maryland Eastern Shores in nearby Princess Anne. The singer has had hits with "Bed" and "Suffocate."

Rap superstar and Top CelebStoner Snoop Dogg joined the tens of thousands of New Yorkers arrested or ticketed each year for marijuana when police nabbed him smoking a blunt outside Lotus in Manhattan on Wednesday night. "He did not get arrested," Snoop's lawyer clarified. "He received a ticket for possession of marijuana. We are contesting the ticket." Snoop's rap sheet
