America tops the global charts in three out of four drug-use categories, according to the World Health Organization. The U.S. leads in marijuana, tobacco and cocaine, but placed sixth in alcohol consumption. The second biggest consumer of cannabis? New Zealand.

We think we're pretty hip here at CelebStoner, but every so often a new term comes along that we've never heard of. Twice in disparate news stories - one about R&B singer Ray J - the word "boat" was used as slang for an illegal drug. So what exactly is boat anyway?

A report that Amy Winehouse is planning to enter an Israeli rehab center was met with skepticsm by critics of the hospital's controversial "rapid detox" method used to kick opiate dependancy. "It's nonsense," says journalist Maia Szalavitz. "It increases risk without providing benefit. Amy is falling for the promise of a quick fix. This isn't it."

Pres. Bush has now pardoned a total of 157 people, including several who were convicted of drug offenses. This week he commuted the sentence of a crack dealer and pardoned 15 others, including former pot distributor Anthony Foglio, who is now a pastor at a California church.
