The sixth Smoke Down Prohibition march and rally in Philadelphia resulted in nine busts on June 30, including well-known local marijuana reformer Chris Goldstein.
The main protest takes place in Independence Park at the Liberty Bell where some attendees light up at 4:20. Goldstein tells CelebStoner that he was charged with "misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance on National Park property," that "all of the citations were misdemeanors" and that no one was "taken into physical custody."
Last month, rally leaders N.A. Poe and Adam Kokesh were hauled away and jailed for several days. Goldstein reports that Poe "led the march but was banned from the park site," and Kokesh "joined the march, spoke lively in front of the Federal Dentention Center and was there at 5th and Market.
"Neither Poe or Kokech were arrested or harassed," he adds.
