Apparently, Timothy Sturgis was mad as hell and wasn't going to take it anymore. The Asheville, Ohio resident killed himself Tuesday after an Ohio police copter landed on his property where they had spotted marijuana plants growing.

Sturgis, armed with a AK-47 and a pistol, allegedly placed the rifle in his mouth when accosted by the task force and, after a brief standoff, fired it.

From the photo above, it appears there were about 15 plants and a cache of rifles.

Pickaway County Sheriff Robert Radcliffe stated: "It's beyond me and beyond the officers that were here why anybody would take their own life in a situation like this.

'We're not talking about a major meth lab. We're not talking about a major heroin operation. It was marijuana. Yeah, it's a crime in Ohio, that's why we're out here, because we have to enforce the laws of Ohio. There was a moderate amount of marijuana. He did have a grow operation inside the residence. But we've seen much bigger.

"But obviously this individual felt threatened, that at some point somebody might come here. There were weapons in every room. We're very fortunate that nobody was hurt. We would've rather the situation turned out that he would've just put the gun down when the officers asked him to. We could've walked away and chances are he probably would've been out of jail tonight. But unfortunately he didn't see that as a violable path."
